A horizontal flip mirrors the picture left to right, which is what you need when a front-camera recording shows text backwards. A vertical flip turns it top to bottom, useful for footage from an upside-down mounted camera.

Does flipping reduce video quality?
The video is re-encoded to H.264. On the High setting the change is not visible; the audio is left untouched.
What is the difference between flip and rotate?
Flip mirrors the picture in place. Rotate turns it by 90, 180 or 270 degrees. Both are available on this page.
What formats are supported?
MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV and AVI. Output is MP4. Files under about 300 MB and 1080p are comfortable; 4K works but is slow.
