A video cutter removes everything before a start time and after an end time. Use it to cut a dead intro, pull one moment out of a long recording, or keep a clip under a platform's length limit.

Enter the start and end in seconds and choose a mode. Fast copy cuts at the nearest keyframes and copies the stream as is, so it finishes in seconds with no quality loss. Precise mode re-encodes so the cut lands on the exact frame you asked for.

Both modes run in your browser with FFmpeg WebAssembly. The file is never sent to a server, and the result is an MP4 with nothing added.

Fast copy for rough cuts

Keyframes are usually 1–5 seconds apart, so the cut may land slightly before your start time. If that is fine, Fast copy is the quickest option and keeps the original quality.

Precise for exact frames

Choose Precise when the cut has to land on a beat or a word. It re-encodes to H.264, which takes longer but hits the exact second.

Cut before heavier edits

Trimming a long file first makes every later step – watermark removal, compression, GIF – faster and lighter on memory.

Frequently asked questions

Does cutting reduce video quality?

Fast copy does not touch the picture at all. Precise mode re-encodes to H.264; on the High setting the change is not visible.

Why does the cut start a bit early in fast mode?

Fast copy can only cut on keyframes. Switch to Precise mode if you need the exact second.

What formats are supported?

MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV and AVI. Output is MP4. Files under about 300 MB and 1080p are comfortable; 4K works but is slow.

Is it free and private?

Yes. No sign-up, no watermark, and the video stays on your device the whole time.
