Muting removes the audio track completely. It is the quick fix for wind noise, background chatter, a copyrighted song you cannot post, or a clip you plan to voice over later.
Drop the video in and click Mute. The video stream is copied as is – no re-encoding – so the picture is byte-for-byte identical to the original and the job usually finishes in a few seconds.
The work is done by FFmpeg WebAssembly in your browser. The file never leaves your device, and the output is a silent MP4 with nothing added.
